So Much to Remember, May 24, 2009
We do have a lot to remember, don’t we? From passwords and PIN numbers, to dates for birthdays and anniversaries, appointments, names and faces … so much to remember. It almost becomes a lament, a complaint. This morning we want to turn this phrase into a chorus of gratitude as we rehearse some of the unbelievable blessings we enjoy from God’s hands. There is so much we need to remember ….

Graduation is one of those highlights of life that we all remember. Join us as we celebrate the graduations of our 6th graders and our high school members.
God’s P.A.T.H. for Parenting, May 10, 2009
Everybody is willing to give you parenting advice .. from your grandparents to Oprah Bookstores have shelves of books offering the next best parenting guidelines. Listen as Rick shares the counsel from the most practical parenting manual available: the Bible.
Also, share with us as we recognize our newest children and their parents in our “New Life Celebration” and as the elders offer prayers asking for God’s blessings on these families.
Marriage That Goes the Distance, May 3, 2009
“Today, we continue what has become a wonderful tradition for our congregation honoring our ’50+ Club’, our couples who have been married for 50 years and longer. We do this to recognize their commitment, but we also do it for the whole church because we need periodic reminders about the possibility of marriage going the distance.”
Listen as Scott Waltman introduces each of our “50+ Club” members and Rick reminds us of the commitment which is indispensable for a long-term marriage, because long-term marriages do not just happen.
All People Matter to God, April 26, 2009
“We are to care about what moves God’s heart, to be advocates for those whom God supports. We must be willing to expand our hearts for the poor, to cultivate compassion for the poor. How do we do that?”
Listen as Rick shares with us Scripture that reinforces the message that God has a special place in His heart for the poor. Hear from his discussion with Kathleen Morrison, outgoing Director of Simple House, about one means through which our congregation tries to meet the needs of the poor in our city.
