I have to wonder if that policy was ever revisited, or if it just continues to now. Yes, all people DO matter to God. The Wichita experience for us has been an eye-opener of that fact.

We have become a culture ruled by law. It seems to me that sometimes the legal thing in man's eyes may not be the right thing in God's eyes. Is is always right to save a life? Obviously not in our culture. Is it always right to treat people with compassion and dignity? Obviously not in our culture. The true tragedy is when the church buys into the "legal" culture and abdicates it's God directed commission to be advocates for people who are trampled by the "legal" mindset of our culture. All people DO matter to God.

Grateful to God for opportunities to serve Him and others...a good way to approach each day. I must tell you that somehow, RiverWalk has helped me get out of myself and on to the needs of others in a way I haven't experienced before now. Pat and I talked just tonight about that...so many people with so many needs. So much prayer needed. I know God will take care of me...I'm not so concerned about that now. There are others who need the prayers of this sinner saved by grace.

This is all so true. The problem is that my "rocks" that I view as trivial are really important items to someone else and the "rocks" that are so trivial to them are important to me. The issue becomes, how do we reconcile our two viewpoints.

Agreed, Rick. And we may not ever see the working of God on an issue in this life. I was reminded of Israel being in Egypt for 400 years before being brought out by Moses. I have to think that there were many descendants of Abraham who spent their entire lives in slavery with only the promise of redemption, but never the realization.
