Elders’ Message June 2009

Elders’ Message, June 2009

RiverWalk Church of Christ ~ Are you becoming accustomed to saying the new name? We trust that the excitement and enthusiasm that the new name brings will bring a sense of renewal to all of us in our spiritual walk.

June is here, school is out and Eric has some great plans for the children’s ministry for the summer. We encourage parents to have their kids be a part of “Super Sundays” and “Wacky Wednesdays” this summer. This is a great way for kids to learn spiritual values while having a good time. It will also help Mom & Dad when the kids complain “I’m bored”! Check the calendar on the website for other pre-teen & teen activities for this summer.

Scott has developed an interesting summer schedule of Bible classes for Sunday. Check the schedule and join the class that is right for you. Interesting topics and dedicated teachers are set for the summer months.

Our dream for renovating the building has been unveiled and picture boards are up in the lobby. We encourage you to take a look at the architect’s design for relocating the nursery to the main floor & the addition of new administrative offices. We will be hosting some meetings to answer questions in the next few weeks. Announcements will be made as to the date and time for the meetings.

As RiverWalk continues to strive to be a “church without walls”, the eldership encourages each of you to become involved in the opportunities to demonstrate to our community what it means to be a Christ follower.

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with each of you.
