GetConnected

“For by the grace given me, I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

Romans 12:3-5

At RiverWalk Church of Christ, we believe that community is not optional. One of our core values is the need for fellowship, to do life together, because we are better together. God did not intend for us to navigate the Christian experience in isolation; He designed us to be in community, to connect with other Christians. We really do need each other.

Christians at RiverWalk have been actively involved in Life Groups for over 20 years. These small groups provide an environment in which members draw strength from each other, share in spiritual growth, and lean on each other in times challenge and stress. Going forward, in addition to Life Groups, we are building other Connection Groups. These additional Connection Groups will be built around various interests, activities and ministry. Some groups may be short-lived because of their focus, while others serve group needs for longer periods of time.

L.I.F.E. Groups

L.I.F.E. groups (Learning, Involvement, Fellowship, Evangelism) provide a time of study, prayer and fellowship in small groups of around 12-15 adults. These groups typically meet on Sunday evenings in homes throughout the Wichita area, but may choose their own time and place of meeting. Currently L.I.F.E. groups meet from September through mid-May each year. Contact Jay Plank at JJplank@yahoo.com for more information about a group that would be best for you.
