Deacons

Deacons and Their Ministries

Early in the life of the church, deacons were selected to see to the physical needs of the widows (Acts 6) in order that the apostles could give their “attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” That early group of 7 provides an example for the group of deacons who currently serve in various ministries of the RiverWalk Church.
