We are great at planning and preparing and having a special event. But all too often, once the “event” is over, we are moving on to planning and preparing and having the next special event. This page will be the place where you can come to link to pictures and memories of some of our recent special events.
One of our fondest traditions is setting aside a Sunday in May to celebrate the graduation of our high school seniors. Over the years, we have watched them grow and mature in physical, mental and spiritual ways. This year, our group includes the following 7 seniors:
Brittany Loftin graduates from Trinity Academy in Wichita.
David Allen graduates from The Independent School in Wichita.
Brynne Cowley graduates from North High School in Wichita.
Larissa Steinmann graduates from North High School in Wichita.
Levi Miller graduates from Mulvane High School.
Michael Ramsey graduates from Mulvane High School.
Shelby Sifford graduates from North High School in Wichita.
~ Every year we select one Sunday morning service during which we gather all of the children who have joined our families during the last 12 months for the elders’ blessing. This special time of blessing includes those who have joined our families through natural birth and adoption.
~ Annually we set aside a Sunday morning service to honor those of our congregation who have been married 50 or more years. You can view the gallery of pictures below of this year’s honorees. In the meantime, you can listen to the podcast of the service.
