This is the goal of our community outreach activities. Every month RiverWalk Church members are in the community using their time, energy, and talents to serve others.

Faith-based Community Outreach

Annually, RiverWalk Church of Christ participates with other Wichita churches in two scheduled events: LoveWichita in the spring and ServeWichita in the fall. These community outreach opportunities, which provide a wide variety of volunteer services to individuals and entities in need, offer RiverWalk members the opportunity to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus.
Clothing Give-Away

Over 200 families were served by our clothing giveaway on August 7 Our fellowship hall was filled with clothing that had been sorted and put on display by several dozen RiverWalk members. Based on the information provided by those who came to “shop”, these 200+ families represented over 600 children and adults! The day was a huge success and nearly all the clothing found a new home.

Our thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this year’s give-away our best ever. And a standing ovation for Linda Griekspoor, who coordinated all the details.
Picture Galleries

Love Wichita ~ RiverWalk members joined 3,000 other volunteers in Wichita to give back to the community by picking up trash at parks, painting homes of the needy and elderly and clearing brush and landscape. RiverWalk members specifically picked up trash along the river from the church building, by Exploration Place, to the Keeper of the Plains; in other words, along the RiverWalk.
