Coats for Kids

JOIN US TO REACH OUR LOCAL KIDS IN NEED!

WHAT? WINTER WEAR FOR KIDS (Kids and Adult sizes – many of our kids wear adult sizes, too) COATS, GLOVES, SCARVES & HATS

WHEN? Collecting now thru November 19th

WHERE CAN YOU BRING DONATIONS?

Kansas Firefighters Museum – 1300 S. Broadway  (Open Saturdays, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm)

Riverwalk Church of Christ, 225 N. Waco

Coats go to local kids who are referred by school teachers, counselors, firefighters and various agencies.

OUR GOAL? 1,000 WINTER ITEMS

WE WANT TO PUT COATS ON KIDS BEFORE THE COLD WEATHER SETS IN, NOT IN THE MONTHS AFTER.  Recipients will get enjoy a fun-filled morning with hot chocolate, donuts and muffins and get to see the fire truck displays.   Children will be allowed to select their winter wear with the help of their “shopping buddy”,  local firefighters and volunteers.

So, when you are out shopping, think about a child in need. Help us put coats on kids!

(Though new winter wear is preferred, gently used, clean coats are welcomed.  No stains, tears, damage, or dated clothing, please.)

Questions?  Contact us at the Kansas Firefighters Museum’s main office at (316) 264-5990.

Thanks for joining us!
